Special preschool and gymnastics equipment are utilized in a wide variety of lesson plans to develop physical fitness, social interaction, coordination, and self-esteem. Classes are offered throughout the week. See our class schedule for details. (30-minute class + 15-minute free play offered at the end of each class).
Preschool Classes

Promotes self-esteem, creative movement, physical fitness, strength, flexibility, and balance, along with all aspects of basic athletic training with an emphasis on gymnastics. Our preschool gymnasts will work on all the Olympics events, in a specially designed preschool sized facility. (45-minute class + 15-minute free play offered at the end of each class. Preschool 1 & 2 - Ages 3-5)
Recreational Gymnastic Classes

School aged boys and girls will progress from beginner to advance on all apparatus. This program is recreational as opposed to a competitive program, though skills will be based on USAG/FIG gymnastic standards. Times vary based on age level and skill, usually 60–90-minute classes. Boys, girls, and co-ed classes are available, depending on the level.

Level 1/1+ : These classes are designed for children of all ages and are intended to introduce them to the basic gymnastic positions and skills on all of the Olympic events.

Level 2/2+ & 3/3+: These classes provide a more challenging atmosphere for those children who have learned the most basic gymnastics skills and are ready to move up to a more challenging level of gymnastics work. Complexity in skills increases as body awareness and fitness increase.

Level 4 - 6: Recreational classes provide an atmosphere for building more advanced skills without the intensified training of competitive gymnastics.  We recommend 2 days weekly at this level for maximum benefit. Beyond level 6 and up needs to look towards competitive gymnastics.

Competitive (JO- Junior Olympic) Team Gymnastics (Boys and Girls)
All Fit-N-Kids gyms that offer competitive gymnastics will be certified by either USAG or FIG, have certified coaches, and use the skill and level standards of that correlating association. Girls Teams - all levels - U.S.A.G./F.I.G Boys Teams - all levels - U.S.A.G./F.I.G Our competitive teams are led by highly skilled coaches with years of combined experience. Teams are required to practice more hours than recreational gymnastic classes, attend team camp, perform in local exhibitions, and compete in local and regional meets. There are several options to choose from regarding team commitment and financial ability. Competition schedules come out in the Fall at team meetings. Times and class length vary depending on level. Pricing differs from Recreational Classes due to time requirements and meet fees, so please inquire if you have questions. By tryout only.
Xcel
Xcel League is a competitive girls league that is not quite as intense as Levels 4-10. Xcel team members compete in five categories--Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Practice is typically two times per week, and meets are more locally based so costs to compete are reduced. Fit-N-Kids Xcel League typically competes three to five times during the season and participation is flexible. By tryout only.
Pre-Team– Fit-N-Mini, Fit-N-Mighty & Fit-N-Mo
Fit-N-Mini, Fit-N-Mighty & Fit-N-Mo are considered pre-team, and are age-specific, invitation-only classes for gymnastics students who show above-average commitment, listening skills, and ability. Pre-team is expected to attend a try-out camp or Team Camp in the summer (as directed by instructor). These classes give students additional exposure to the Olympic events as well as learning to work in a team environment. This is an opportunity for gymnasts interested in growing their skills to the competitive level and gives parents and gymnasts alike a chance to experience gymnastics in a more committed environment. This is a “pre-team” environment, and students are expected to move to the competitive team, given their age and ability, as they progress. Class meets 2-3 times per week for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours, dependent on level. By tryout only.
